I love flowers, and try hard to capture the colours.  I also love the happy way they grow.  If you let them.  They don’t care about correct colour combinations, and what goes with what.  If you walked down my lane you will see all the wild flowers happily growing together; yellow primroses, purple violets, bluebells, white flowers, cream flowers, greeny white flowers, pink flowers all pushing their way through the different coloured greens of the grasses, leaves and ferns.  The banks look gorgeous.   So here I have tried to create four colourful, happy daisies.  I cut each glass petal, then assemble and layer the different colours on top of each other onto a clear piece of glass.  The petals are then ‘tack-fused’ onto the clear piece which gives each petal definition and depth.  The finished piece was then framed.  I think they look good as a set and, like the hedgerows, are happy being seen with each other.
